Danisha is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) and works as the Fund Development Manager with Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton. She formerly served as a Senator for the University of Alberta, Chair for the Social Wellbeing Advisory Committee for the City of Calgary, and as a Co-Chair for Women United for United Way of Alberta Capital Region. In a volunteer capacity, Danisha serves on numerous non-profit boards and committees, including her roles as Co-Chair for the Calgary Child Abuse Prevention Coalition, a member of the Women United Global Leadership Council, and a Board Member of Imagine Canada. Danisha has received numerous awards and recognitions for her community service, including the Government of Alberta Stars of Alberta Award, Top 40 under 40, and Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
