With the local knowledge and accountable grant-making capacity of our network, United Way Centraide Canada was selected by the Government of Canada to quickly deploy funds to front-line community service organizations that delivered local solutions to support seniors experiencing vulnerability.
The New Horizons Seniors Program funding disbursed by United Way Centraide Canada supported 936 programs and more than 700,000 seniors in communities across Canada, ensuring the urgent and growing needs experienced by many of them during the height of the pandemic were met.
