At the national level, United Way Centraide Canada advances the collective impact of our network, measures results in local communities, raises awareness about the social issues affecting Canadians, and advocates for improved funding and resources.
Community Services Recovery Fund
To help stabilize and strengthen the community services sector in the wake of COVID-19, United Way Centraide Canada has been selected as one of three National Funders of the Government of Canada’s $400 million Community Services Recovery Fund.
United Way Centraide Canada is a proud founding partner of 211, a free, confidential information and referral helpline service for anyone looking for community and social resources close to home.
Women United is a national, inclusive, and vibrant community of more than 70,000 changemakers across the country bound together by a powerful sense of belonging — to one another, to the community, and to the mission of transforming the lives of women and their families.
At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, United Way Centraide Canada and our members nationwide leapt into action.
We knew the most vulnerable people across our country would be hit the hardest, so we immediately began advocating on behalf of local service agencies that support them. Together with our partners, stakeholders, and government funders, we worked hard to find solutions and offer support to those who needed it the most.
